Blog post 3

For Blog post 3 we were asked to learn about peer review by watching 2 videos and a slideshow. The video gives us the definition of what peer review is and the step to have a successful peer review. The definition of peer review is having someone your age review and make revisions with you. It also gives us the 3 steps to peer editing. Step one is compliment, you should start your peer review with the good parts of their writing. Suggestions is the second step to peer editing done by giving them ideas on how to make their work better. The final step is corrections by checking for the mistakes such as grammar or spelling.
The slide show was pretty much the same as the video. It gave more detail into the 3 steps of peer editing and how to do it positively. Gives some idea on what thing to compliment while reviewing. Also it gives details on things to suggest such as word choice and topics. Finally it explains what to look for while your making corrections. The final video was a funny video of a class doing skits showing the children acting out the different forms or peer editors. They showed us so or the different characters you get while peer editing such as the too picky ones like Picky Patty. Overall in this activity I learn what peer review and editing was and how you can achieve greatness by doing it the right way.
